Helen McCarthy summed up my feelings perfectly on LinkedIn. And of course I credit her, because I am not an LLM scraping (stealing) her content, but rather a human agreeing that “I still think GenAI is destructive and pernicious.

But that doesn’t make all AI useless. It’s up to us whether we use it to help people manage huge and complex tasks, or to steal the work of others and wipe out their jobs.” Of course she confuses LLMs with AI, but I am a voice screaming in the wilderness on that subject.
